Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong— then guide me on the road to eternal life. Psalm 139:23-24
So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, Ephesians 5:26
The purity of our heart has a direct relation to which we are aware and since the depth of the presence of God. The purity of heart is more directly related to the awareness of His presence than the time in which you have been a Christian. This is why it is vital that one, once receiving Jesus, be Disciple in the things of God, the holiness of God, and their identity in Christ. They should also be taught the fear of God to pursue a consecrated set apart life. Seeking holiness and righteousness. It is not perfection. It is the pursuit of purity. God looks at the content of a man’s heart, not the man’s outward appearance, religious lifestyle, or actions. A result of this is the transformation that conforms us into the image of his son Jesus.
You become what you behold!
