As I sit on my front porch and watching the rain in the storms that are coming through from the hurricane, I’m reminded of a story that was shared with me many years ago by a friend and mentor, Larry Chkoreff, the founder of international school of the Bible and the author of Grow Or Die, a book that changed my life & over a million forever.
Larry shared with me a story of when he and Carol were doing mission work. I believe in a South American country. They were staying above a shop on a main street in that city. In the middle of the night, he and his wife both were awakened with what they, as well as I believe, was definitely a prophetic unction of the Lord. They began praying Psalm 91 and crying out to the Lord that they shall be kept under the shadow of the Almighty. The next morning, when they learned from the shop below that a group had come to do them or even take their life. The ones that came to attack them were met by two of the largest people they’ve ever seen standing at the top of the stairs in the hallway with massive swords for their lives and fear because these two guardians watch over their room. When we call in the name of Jesus, tremendous power is released. He puts His angels on assignment over His people, children, and priests. Today, no matter your situation or circumstance, you can call on the name of Jesus, and His authority is released into the situation. “No weapon, though it is formed, shall prosper against you, and every tongue that rises up against you shall be brought down.” The storms of chaos that roar around you will be calmed. And if you are in lack, His word says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not LACK!”
